Knowledge Drop (Embrace)

Who are you? It is the rare question that is both, universal and personal. So naturally, the answer is going to be subjective. The definition is yours to determine. One of the biggest problems some face, is when they cannot answer it at all. And those that cannot answer it, find themselves being led by a nature that really isn't their own. Simply just not comfortable. Some change their voices, just to speak to certain people. Some pretend they know about things, they really don't care for. Some lie on their age, weight, accomplishments, or feel guilty about certain interests they have. Depression and anxiety, are among the various traits that contribute to a person's uneasiness when they know not who they are. The only cure of such feelings is to embrace, you. Embrace your corks. Your deficiencies. Never be ashamed of your strengths. Work on, but don't back down from others noticing your weaknesses. Embrace your uniqueness. Once you embrace what, you are not. Only then will you realize exactly, who you are. Then suddenly, that skin feels mighty comfortable.

Poetry (A Message From...)

As you grow in this world,
Young boy or girl,
This is your oyster or pearl,
The ride is rough

You'll have days and nights
Love and spite,
Wrong and rights,
The ride is rough,

They'll be truth and lies
Darkened skies,
Light for the blind,
The ride is rough

Times of despair,
Hateful glares,
Those to be aware,
The ride is rough

They'll be moments of joy,
Wins and Loss,
Nothing without a cost,
The ride is rough,

You'll have to give your all,
Answer the call,
Fear not, to fall,
The ride is rough

Stay warm when it's cold,
Stay cool when it's hot,
Like it or not,
The ride is rough

Difficulties will mound,
Like wax on a candle,
But it's nothing you can't handle,
The ride is rough

Poetry (Cry)

Cry

Cry for me young,
Cry for me old,
Cry for me timid,
Cry for me bold,

Cry for me weak,
Cry for me strong,
Cry for me night,
Cry for me dawn,

Cry for me dry
Cry for me rain
Cry for me healthy
Cry for me pain

Cry for me memory,
Cry for me sorrow,
Cry for me today,
Cry for me tomorrow,

Cry for me joyous,
Cry for me sad
Cry for me mom,
Cry for me dad,

Cry for me taste,
Cry for me flavor,
Cry for me family,
Cry for me neighbor,

Cry out with meaning,
In all that you see,
I cry for these things,
As they cry for me.

Knowledge Drop (The Moment)

What makes a bad day? It is an interesting and general question. Many options can be thrown out, as to what a bad day is. But in actuality, a bad day is an accumulation of bad moments. No one wants to give credit to the saying of "live in the moment", when it's something that isn't beneficial. With that said. It is the moment, or the accumulation of, that makes a day bad. A good day can take a terrible turn, with a detrimental occurrence. Conversely, a much needed win can change the whole tide. It is the moment that counts. Approaching life as a stream of linear moments, gives perspective on how to approach it. Break the stream of bad moments with a good one. Sometimes helping someone, can fill the desire of feeling needed, important or relevant. Laughter. Seeking a kind work. A relate-able source for a sounding board. All are examples to a vast array of options to break a stream. But the general principle of breaking the moment of negative streams. Or, form a stream a positive moments, for a fantastic day. The moment to moment approach is but one way to rationalize, adjust, regroup and prosper in this conundrum called life.

Poetry (Have You Ever?)

Have you ever wondered to yourself “what is my purpose?"
Have you ever known it had to be more then what you see on the surface?
Have you ever at times felt as helpless as an infant?
Have you ever felt for some reason, you were always treated different?
Have you ever noticed the things that others may have missed?
Have you ever said to yourself "if I could just one wish"?
Have you ever felt you had nobody to trust?
Have you ever said "I need more time to adjust"?
Have you ever wondered how you were going to make it?
Have you ever said "if I get the chance, I'm going to take it?"
Have you ever been disappointed when your expectations weren’t met?
Have you ever looked at your life and said "there's not a damn thing I regret?" Have you ever found out something you wish that you didn't?
Have you ever said something is, knowing it really isn't?
Have you ever had your heart broken in two?
Have you ever known exactly what you were going to do?Have you ever felt like you had to do it all?
Have you ever welcomed the rise, but didn’t prepare for the fall?
Have you ever thought about what something would cost you?
Have you ever wondered who would care if they lost you?

Poetry (My Faith Is)

My faith is my armor,
My faith is my blessing,
My faith is my teacher,
My faith is my lesson,

My faith is my honor,
My faith gives me strength,
My faith is tremendous,
It’s endless with length,

My faith is a soldier,
It’s always at war,
Belief in myself,
Comes from deep in my core,

My faith makes a difference,
Through the will of a vessel,
My faith is a reference,
Of something that’s special,

My faith is a gift,
Not confused with a curse,
It gets rough to maintain,
Without faith, then it's worse

My faith stands tall and strong,
Like a towering tree,
The origin of my faith,
Is from the powers that be.

Knowledge Drop (Master of You)

Master of You

If you stay in your own lane, you'll have less chance at crashing. Meaning, one should prioritize their importance. And worry not, what others consider regarding you, negatively. One of the most glaring in priorities, is belief in oneself. Typically, we heap praise upon someone after they have achieved in longevity. And rightfully so. Our general nature, is to wait until someone has shown and proved. It is the standard in which we measure greatness. With that said. Never wait for others to validate your greatness. Your talents and abilities, are gifts of yours. Not someone else. You, are the master of you. To wait for others to validate you, is to look upon yourself as nothing until someone else says you are now something. You were something before they knew you were. You always were and always will be. It's a great feeling, for others to notice your skill and ability. But it must be noticed. The first notice, is always yourself. You walk the road. Be it alone. With guidance. With assistance. But it starts with you. Support is a wonderful thing. We all need it at some time or another. However, as long as you have the belief in capabilities, you have more than enough.
